The gray mouse lemur, scientifically classified as Microcebus murinus, is a small nocturnal primate native to Madagascar. Weighing up to 100 grams with a body length of around 15 centimeters, it sports varying shades of gray fur, large round eyes for vision in the dark, and pointed ears for sound detection. Found in rainforests and dry forests on the island, these omnivores feed on fruits, insects, and occasionally small vertebrates. Solitary creatures that dwell in the forest canopy, they have a lifespan of up to 15 years in captivity.
